Matt received his BS and MS degrees in Animal Science at Michigan State University, and his PhD in Animal Sciences at the University of Illinois under the guidance of Dr. Mike Ellis. Matt’s graduate research programs focused on swine production, welfare, and meat quality. Upon completion of graduate school, Matt joined Elanco Animal Health and worked for 12 years in swine technical service and R&D roles. From 2018-2022, Matt was the North American Director of Swine Nutrition and Technical Services at Cargill Animal Nutrition. In January of 2023, Matt joined United Animal Health, where he currently serves as the Sr. Vice President of Research & Development.
