Bibiana is a PhD student in the Division of Nutritional Sciences at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where she focuses on effects of vitamin D metabolites and analog on calcium and phosphorus digestibility and retention in pigs. She earned her master’s degree in Animal Science from the Universidad de Antioquia, Colombia. After completing her master’s program and before joining the lab at the University of Illinois, she accumulated over 15 years of experience in the animal science industry. Bibiana's extensive industry experience includes serving as the Nutrition Leader at Iluma Alliance, a Technical Commercial Consultant at PREMEX S.A., and the General Manager of her own business, where she specialized in nutritional solutions, technical consulting, and livestock management.
