I am a Ph.D. candidate in Animal Science at Texas Tech University working under the direction of Dr. Kristin Hales. Originally from Minnetonka, MN, my doctoral research has longitudinally assessed the bacterial populations involved in liver abscess formation, evaluated the effects of feedlot cattle management on foodborne pathogen prevalence and antimicrobial resistance, examined metaphylactic strategies in newly received cattle, and measured the methane emissions and energetics of beef cattle. I am currently looking for employment opportunities in either academia or industry.
