Brooke McAnally is a Ph.D. student in Animal Science with a specialization in Physiology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, focusing on enhancing boar fertility by mitigating in-utero heat stress. She earned her M.S. in Animal Science with a focus on Reproductive Physiology and her B.S. in Animal Science from Texas A&M University. Her graduate research has ranged from different areas of swine reproduction, such as semen microbiomes, sperm quality, and endocrine function, resulting in multiple publications and conference presentations. Brooke has served as a graduate research and teaching assistant, assisting in courses in animal reproduction and swine management. She actively participates in professional organizations, including the Society for the Study of Reproduction and the American Society of Animal Science. Recognized for her contributions, she has won several research awards, including top placements in poster and oral competitions. Dedicated to science education and outreach, she has judged science fairs and mentored several undergraduate students. She hopes her work will continue to advance reproductive physiology and animal science research.
