Graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the Federal University of Pelotas, Brazil. Holds a master’s degree in Animal Reproduction (Federal University of Pelotas, Brazil) and a PhD in Swine Reproduction Pathophysiology (Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil), including a research exchange program at the University of Illinois, USA. Has two years of experience in a swine production company and an additional two years as a swine reproduction specialist at Elanco do Brasil. Since 2017, he has been a professor at the Veterinary School of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, engaging in teaching, research, and extension activities as part of the Swine Sector Team. He also supervises graduate students in the Veterinary Sciences Graduate Program . Currently, he is a visiting scholar at Iowa State University, focusing on developing data analysis tools for decision-making in swine production systems.
