Dr. Mark Whitney is Swine Technical Service Manager for Eastman. A Minnesota native, Mark grew up on a farrow-finish swine and crop farm in south-central Minnesota. Mark earned a BS in Animal Science and MS in Animal Nutrition from North Dakota State University, before earning his PhD in Swine Nutrition from the University of Minnesota. At the University of Minnesota, Mark managed swine nutrition research projects for 7 years, and then served as swine program leader and associate professor for 9 years with University of Minnesota Extension. The past 12 years, Mark has switched from the academic field to commercial production, having served as swine nutritionist and technical services manager for several feed and nutrition companies in the upper Midwest as well as overseas in China and Japan.
