Marley Knowles is a graduate student studying Agriscience at Illinois State University, where she also completed her Bachelor's degree in Animal Science. During her undergraduate studies, she assisted with animal science student stress research. Her thesis work focuses on the utilization of golden pennycress meal into poultry diets and its effects on growth and performance. Additionally, she has also assisted with research surrounding space allocation in grow-finish pigs. In her graduate career, she has also taken on the role of teaching assistant for a variety of agriculutre courses, which she enjoys. Her research interests are diverse, with a particular focus on meat science, animal welfare, and nutrition. Upon completing her master's degree, she looks forward to pursuing a P.h.D. in one of the above disciplines.
