After earning his DVM from the University of Nairobi, Dr. Elly embarked on industry practice, initially focusing on wildlife and subsequently in a mixed animal practice. In 2022, he completed his Master of Science in Pharmacology and Toxicology at the same institution and later in 2023, joined the Field-Epi team at Iowa State University for MS/PhD. His current work is centered on leveraging data-driven approaches to enhance swine production, with a particular emphasis on developing predictive algorithms for sow efficiency and gilt retention.
